I don't only have one night stands, I also have several friends with benefits. Most of the women I go with are looking for the same thing as me: sex. Some don't want anything serious for now, just fun. Others are looking for a man to satisfy their physical needs. One of my booty calls is married but her husband is impudent. That's where I come in. We know each other pretty good but we keep things very discreet and private. It works good for the both of us.
I try and pass on anyone who is looking for something more serious.
If someone has sex with you but doesn't make any further contact with you, chances are they were just looking for one night of fun. Others are looking for a FWB relationship.
Can't stress it enough. Everyone needs to find the relationship style that works for them and find others who are looking for something similar. Only way to be happy these days. Everyone isn't cut out for marriage or a serious relationship. Some people are asexual and don't want any sex, so they should find others who are similar. Others only want platonic friendships etc. You get my point. I believe that one of the reasons the divorce rate is so high is because of people insisting on a relationship style that frankly they are not meant for. You can also see this fact coming to light with all the emotional and physical affairs you see going on these days.
Oh yea and there is nothing insensitive about one night stands/friends with benefits etc. Every person who I've had sex with has fully consented to the act. Like I said, I do a pretty good job of bypassing all the girls who want to play games etc.

You guys are living in a fantasy land if you think there no girls just going out to bars/clubs with the sole intention of hooking up with a guy. The only reason girls act like they were taken advantage of is because they can't get the reputation of being a, "****." Every girl has their story, "I was drunk and didn't know etc." "one thing lead to another." Girls aren't that stupid, they know exactly what they are doing. Also girls are just as bad as guys, they want sex just as much as men. They are just held back by a sexist culture. (where a promiscuous girl is considered bad and a promiscuous boy is considered good.)

I have to agree that "dancer" is to "stripper" as "escort" is to "prostitute." Just a softer way of saying it.
I am so sorry about your sister, how horrible. I agree - stripping isn't the answer. Exactly how you say - it's the "element" you are subjecting yourself to. Drugs, violence, exposure to dangerous people...

Others go to have a drink, unwind and spend time with a beautiful (hopefully) and engaging woman. Any stripper/dancer worth her salt can make a man feel like he is a king or a special man by her conversation and flirtation skills. It is certainly a bit of an art to it. Not to menton the presence of alcohol which in some cases can confuse people and make them an easier 'mark' for lack of a better term.
Some men go in their looking for their next girlfriend or wife (may be hard to believe for some, but I know many strippers). They offer food, shelter, comfort, etc just to be the 'special man' in her life. The odds aren't in his favor but some people like to gamble right?
Nothing wrong with it if you don't like it per se, just don't go to a strip club. Why knock what someone else does with their own money? I can imagine after a while it can get lonely staring at a naked woman through a computer screen. She can't talk or respond to you. No matter what kind of smoke some like to blow, we are all humans and almost all of us enjoy contact from another human being.
