Women aren't so ashamed of their romance novels that feel like they have to wear trench coats and fake mustaches when they go buy the books.

But yeah, romance novels are kind of like mental masturbation, right?

Same here. I prefer a good science fiction novel any day. For movies I prefer drama.

Have you seen the I caught my husband looking at porn thread? Apparently women think of porn as the same level as cheating and are willing to get a divorce. Men aren't that stupid to take things so far if they catch a chick reading a romance novel.
