When I first saw this thread titled "Beware of eHarmony (dating service)", It sounded like eHarmony was lurking around dark corners ready to throw you into a white van, a la silence of the lambs style.
I would pay anyone on this board not to join the highly touted dating site eHarmony.com, (I mean it , PAY you NOT to join!). I am sick and tired of shelling out money for this worthless garbage site and not even getting ONE date. Even wth the discounts, they are still not worth the money. Too expensive for what you get. Anyway they are going downhill BIGTIME in quality the last few years. Back in 2000-2005, they were at least somewhat better. You could ad your email address to your profile and non subscribing members could write you. Now the greedy bastards won't let you do that anymore! I started with them back in 2004, 2005 and recently paid for a six month subscription back in February (Valentines Day free weekend.) Big mistake! Now I wish I had spent the money on another Blenco vase! Please don't make this mistake yourselves folks. You get al these matches suppoedly, but most of them are old, inactive, or fictitious profiles. The rest will get to stages 2 and 3 of communication with you and drop you like a hot potato. It is so tiresome to have to go through all that. Last-the matches are from miles and miles away. I am moving into a new condo soon and jsut settling in and not interested in guys in Hackensack New Jersey! So to sum up I have dated plenty of guys from match.com, friendfinder, plentyoffish (and I don't recommend that one either) and yahoo personals even recently met someone nice from Chrsitain Cafe during a seven day free trial and yet I can't get one lousy stinkin date with e-NO harmony. I wish ti God they would get sued or something. Sorry so long but I hate that site with a passion and jsut feel like venting.
You have to beware of sites that say they can match you up with your best match but thats impossible. The one I found through intimatethought.com seems to be the real deal. I seen it on the Dr. Phil show and on Ellen.

Dating online is all a gamble...hit or miss....getting laid or not...etc. So why not at least go to a cheaper or free online dating service? At least the frustation will NOT be financial!!
They all suck. Mostly players or marrieds on dating sites.
Thanks! I couldn't resist. I rank these dating ripoffs up there with the career and financial gurus that slink out of the woodwork whenever the economy sours.
