I thought she was with some other people and I was talking to girl in front of her thinking they were friends.. well they didn't know each other and she got mad at me. lol So that was the end of that but what ever there are more, and besides for just standing around and doing nothing talking to her was a good thing. It proves anything can happen at any time so if it happened once it can and will again, I'm not sweating it, it will be warmer and that means more females out and MORE chances to hook up.

I think my measuring device went wrong somewhere. My girlfriend's 5 10 and we're at the same height, bare feet.

That should make me 5 10

Besides, she owns shoes with heels about 4 to 5 inches. She can easily tower over me

Poor midget me

This thread almost seems to assume you get it all for being tall... I find being tall more useful for yanking your head into garagedoors and stuff by mistake than for attracting the opposite sex...6'3 and hating it... used to be so much easier finding clothes when I was below 6 feet...

I did construction work years back and I was teased about how short I was I'm not a midget but 5'6 is short next to 6'0 people I guess, well anyways the "taller" guys would always bang their heads on pipes and stuff. Since I have a mouth and love to use it I would say stuff like aww your poor head must be banging!! HA HA !! or sucks to be THAT tall!! I would walk right under the pipe stop and look up at it and go hmmm yea I guess I'm a short Mo Fo! hahaha.

But anyways I never really have any issues with females that like or don't like me due to height, I was doing pretty well this weekend. It's proof that if you know what to say when to say it...your in!

Short guys have it tougher, for sure. I lucked out big time. I'm about 5'8, but my father is only 5'4. My mother is 5'8. I am almost scared to have kids because they might get his genes.

I have definitely always been at a disadvantage hitting on women, unless if it was on girls who were significantly shorter. I used to work at a gay bar though, and those guys were all over me. Haha. Girls like tall, dark, and handsome. I'm short, recessive, and cute. All the things they aren't into. Haha.

My Dad was 5 5 and my mom is like 5 2.

Now that it appears I'm 5 10, my brother is the clear winner. He's almost 5 11.

We got lucky somehow

And truth be told, in my country of origin, average male height is like 5 4. That makes us giants, LMAO. It was one of the prime reasons I was readily pushed into playing hockey, I was easily the tallest player in my team, every time, except when playing against some north Indians where the turbaned Sikh guys tend to go as high as 6 feet.

I went out with a 5' 9" southerner Saturday night. No problems on my end.

I saw a couple profiles on match.com where the women were 5'0" and one time 4'11" and stated the minimum height requirement as 6'0" - I kid you not. I think that is entirely ridiculous. I wrote one of them and she said "I can't help it. I like tall guys!". Ok, well she is most certainly missing out on the possibility of meeting the right person with that kind of restriction. It's her loss.

I don't feel comfortable dating a woman taller than I am. I prefer 5'0" to 5'3" so she can wear heals. And so I think an even greater challenge for short guys is that the range of women is extremely narrow. Yet, the tall guys have their pick of the litter. Their dating pool is huge. I think it comes down to survival of the fittest - genetics. However, another component of genetics is "mutation". People are attracted to both the "best" of the litter but also to people who are somwhat "mutated".

It is annoying to see super-short women dating giants. There is a local dentist with a photo on their website. She looks to be about 5'0" tall MAX. Her husband appears to be about 6'5". No kidding. Weird. If it is okay for her to need to file a request form for a kiss than so be it. I think it would be frustrating not to be able to kiss your husband when you want to.

Ben Stiller is listed as 5'6.5" or so and his super-hot wife is I think 5'6" or something.

Being short does have its advantages. I fit so easy on airplanes and other tight spaces. I am much more agile than tall people - maneuvering around the office or in public. I eat less. It's easier to take care of a smaller frame.

The only area being short has bothered me is with dating.

I say just keep trying.
I would wager that you yourself exclude a lot of women when you do a search on Match.com. Exactly what boxes are YOU checking off? Body type? Hair color? Race? Religion? Age?

That's what people do, it only sucks when you yourself are getting the short end of the stick.

I've always had a soft spot for short men, I'm only 5'0 myself. My husband is 5'8.

Oh and the tallest guy I dated was 6'4. We received a LOT of jokes about our height difference.
