most of the world's men are short by American standards, Chinese, Indians, Japanese, Italians, French, Latin Americans, Central Americans etc. are all short 5'6 - 5'8 average. So, most of those men will not stand a chance if they come to the US? What ridiculous nonsense.

Most women feel more feminine when the man is the same height or taller. I think it is a precieved dominance issue.
However, I am 5'7and the majority of women I know are between 5' and 5'3.
What is the problem? A lot of short men have that Napoleon complex thing and think bigger is better so they want to date women who are 6' tall. I guarantee you, I don't care how much money you have, I don't think that will ever make you happy. Everyone needs to be in a relationship that makes them comfortable, accepted, wanted and loved. Go for that and you will be happy regardless of your or your spouses height.
Don't forget Tatoo, he committed suicide after his hot model wife bailed out on him. If he had picked a wonderful woman for a wife who loved him instead of trying to buy one to show off, he would probably have been much happier.

Besides, don't most men prefer short women? My hubby complains I'm too tall (his girlfriend before we got married was a tiny 5'1; he says I'm a monster compared to her).

How is 5'11'' quite short?

As for short men, I'm 5'4''/5'5''-ish. I used to be insecure and not have a lot of. One day, I started not to care what others think. And you know, it works a lot better. I just went with my personality and started being myself. (I'm a pretty upbeat "good" guy with a great personality-I think). Be happy being single and with yourself. I would never date a woman who can't be happy as a single woman. Forget about what you can't control and work on what you can control.

If a woman is so big on height, is she really someone you want to go out with? She'll likely be single and dating a lot of jerks in her life (and crying why she can't meet a "good" guy.) because she won't lower her physical standards. We can't be young and beautiful forever.

If short men really have 0% chance of mating, then it wont be long until the short gene is bred out.

Of course, the Knicks' best player (5-9 Nate Robinson) is also their shortest..........
