I have a little problem. I'm in a pretty steady relationship with this girl. We really bond, however, whenever I call her "my baby", or "babe" or something affectionate like that, she responds with "Quit calling me that, it makes me sound like a whor*". I am really confused by this. I also tried "honey', and "sugar" to see if maybe I'd get a positive responds, but no she says the same thing. I explained to her that those words are meant for affection, not to make her feel like a whor*. Ughhh...I'm really frustrated, any help? Thanks in advance!!! -mmccul
Haha, great suggestions. It really isn't the words that confuses me, it's why she thinks that calling her something generic like "baby" makes her feel/sound like a whor*. I don't get how she can even think that. -mmccul

How old is she? She sounds if she's wound a little tight.
In fact, the next time she dishes that brand of b****iness out to you, take the bull by the horns and say, "Tell you what. What endearment do you prefer?" Then pull out a list and have her cross off the ones she doesn't like.
I bet that gets a laugh out of her, and then you'll have made your point. In other words, demonstrate that you're just not that afraid of her.

I don't use all those buzz words at all. I use a nickname
I'm a dude and even I think such words are cheesy like David Lee Roth's outfits.
True. But I think he actually wants to put up with this woman.
Don't you think guys should get creative? Which woman can resist that?
