It's funny. I go out and meet nice guys but instead of calling me so we can have a nice conversation over the phone. They would rather text me..personally i think that is just pure laziness and i don't even respond. I even had someone go so far as to text me saying" hey do you have a myspace or facebook page, i want to learn more about you"...lol i said why don't you just ask me to order you a background check wouldn't that be easier, dang. You got my number anything you want to know why not just ask the source.
I am beginning to hate having a text discussion other than a few quick instructions. If 'how was your day' or 'what did you do this weekend' come into play, I'll usually ask if I can call them or they call me.
It's an indication of just that! And lack of respect! How did you manage to live before texting came around...?
wow, thanks for being so rude to the fact that I have a problem using the phone. I just didn't call people if you must know. if they wanted to talk to me they had to call me, or I would go see them in person. of course if the phone is absolutely necessary, I call, but it takes me a long time to be able to do it. I might dial the number three or four times before I actually connect the call.
Texting sure is lazy. Talking on the phone is lazy as well.
I communicate only through love letters, written in calligraphy, containing a lock of my chest hair, sealed in wax with the family crest, delivered by Lawrence, my personal courier.
I'm old school. I don't have texting on my cell phone plan.
I prefer email and instant messaging. That way I am only interrupted when I feel like logging in.
I've always hated calling people on the phone unless it's absolutely necessary.
