My ex-wife and I are going through a nasty divorce. She's stated she is divorcing me over pornography, however, we made our own home video once at her insistance. Now that she's told all our friends that I'm a pervert, I'm releasing our home video online. Does anyone know what consequences I can face since we both consented to making the video?

Our legal separation is already finalized and it includes a clause that we will not harrass each other, but I believe we will continue to harrass each other for several months more if not forever.

Sorry she has caused you problems with your friends, but I don't think releasing a video you guys made for private viewing is going to help convince those friends you aren't a pervert. It is just going to make them think you are a bitter pervert. Take the high road. Keep it to yourself.

Takes 2 to fight...

move on with your life and remember - anything you do will come back to hurt you. I'm sure there's someone in your future who would be horrified to see that in an email link...from a "concerned friend."

What do you intend to accomplish by releasing the video?

That is a horrible thing do to someone, bitter divorce or not. Act like a man, instead of a bratty little boy, and take the high road.

I really wonder about some people.

Please don't do this. You are leaving yourself open to all kinds fo legal ramifications and doing this out of bitterness and anger is going to get you into a lot of trouble. Just because you and your ex can't get along and didn't get along doesn't mean that you two have to continue to take cheap pot shots at each other.

Whether or not you looked at porn and suffered the consequences of having gotten into it too much is not of concern; it is done and over with. Just do not release that home video...it is definitely a version of harassment on your part and is in violation of your legal separation agreement. Don't be foolish and move on.

Bob - Go ahead and do it...what's the worse that can happen?

Your employer finds out?
Your parents find out?
Your kids find out?
Your girlfriend finds out?

I'm sure that they would all be very happy that you took this road...

(Can you read the sarcasm in the words???)

Like everyone else said...pack it away or just destroy it. Offer to give the destroyed tape to your soon to be Ex...you may actually make some positive points...

Good Luck

So releasing the tape to prove you are a pervert? Or releasing it with the intent of showing her she's a hypocrite?

Either way, if they were actually your friends they might actually see her insanity, if she's overreacting in this case. The only thing you will prove as many have already stated is your own lack of class/sanity/decency by releasing it.

Can't even believe you're considering it, or posting simply asking about legal repercussions from it and expecting someone to be forth-coming.

Just wow.
