We were at a party last week, and were hanging out with a group of friends. There's one woman in this group who is pretty funny, but she'll say ANYTHING.
Anyway, she blurted out how she would spend her husbands life insurance money if he kicked. She had a list!
When we all looked at her as if she had grown horns, she said, "Oh, c'mon. How many of you haven't fantasized about your spouse dying and having your freedom again?"
My wife and I drove home, pretty much fascinated by this. Do you know anybody who actually thinks this way?
That was it. She was also asking people when they first lost their virginity, if they still smoked pot, or if they were living off trust funds. Needless to say, she had one margarita too many. Maybe two or three.
My husband and I always joke about what we're gonna do when the other one kicks off. His story about me is that I will have my suitcase in the car and will go directly to the Atlanta airport for a great trip!

Yikes! I can honestly say I've never thought about my spouse kicking it and becoming free that way. On the other hand, I have briefly fantasized about abusive spouses of loved ones kicking it but I try to stop myself and shake it off. That's bad enough.

Was she taking a survey?
I would never verbalize it if I did fantasize about somebody kicking the bucket. But I will cop to thinking about what life will be like if/when I am single again - this does not have anythng to do with death, however.

Yeah. See, there have been brief moments when I've wistfully looked at all my responsibilities and wonder what it would be like to be single and sailing the South Pacific. But that's about as far as it goes.
Maybe she is doing a marketing survey for insurance companies?

Is it a dance survey seeking answers about people's favorite dance moves?
You know mine are Pee-Wee Herman tequila and Janet Jackson's Pleasure Principle dance moves.....
