Yep !
I was able to talk my "now exwife" into the both of us using the same lawyer and get an annullment . I told her that it would cost us, "such amount of dallors", which it was actually only half that amount. So she ended up paying for the lawyer all by her little self . Har! Har! Har!

wow- isnt it hard to get an annullment? You mustve saved big $$ on that. I dread dealing with lawyers, but looks like I will be hiring one. My stbx thinks I am selling MY house-lol. More like he is getting kicked out. He also owes me $$ for starting his landscape business. He has a 22 yr old son in N.C. from his first marriage-never paid support until they garnished it. A repeat offender.

Sunny, I can't wait till you get on one of those televised divorce court shows!
Speaking of, years ago I was asked to speak on behalf of a friend who was trying to win custody of her son in a divorce case. It must have embarrassed her terribly because her sleazy ex took that opportunity to discuss all of the kinky and very private things they had done together, right in front of all of her friends and the judge, who looked a little uncomfortable too.

Why didnt the judge cut them off?. The judge has the authority. If she had a cut-throat lawyer that wouldn't have happened. I'll hire one from NYC if I have to!.

I forget why it was relevant, perhaps because he was trying to prove she was bisexual and therefore an unfit mother.
She couldn't afford a lawyer, I believe. She had a very rough time in life.
It's yet another good reason not to indulge in threesomes no matter how much he begs.

Here in NJ we have a no fault option...thing is it takes seemingly forever to finalize. It's much shorter time frame if you file counter charges etc. I wanted out of a going nowhere marriage, she didn't. I wanted to press my case with a mental cruelty thing (a non-issue), she wanted to drag it thru the no fault system...ugh two years of torrmenting each other while I stayed in the guest room.
I'd like to take credit for this idea but my buddies came up with it. After a fun evening at a local "exotic dancer" bar they took up a collection and talked one of the girls into coming home with me. It was mostly just for show but it certainly had the desired effect. I had small recorder in my pocket during the
entire episode.
Monday morning she was in her attorneys office signing the paper work.
Every year we all get together in the backyard over beers, burgers and listen to the screaming match.....great fun.

Speaking of custody, I had a friend who's ex-husband was a real ass. They were married only long enough for her to get pregnant, him to cheat while she was, and he split after the baby was born. But he insisted on sharing custody, always made promises to the kid and never kept them. He'd call at 3am drunk begging her to take him back but he refused to pay child support. She let it go until he'd reached the point where they'd lock him up. Once he was behind bars, she offered to drop the charges if he'd waive his rights to custody.
