Your cake and eat it too is exactly right.

If you look at any of these women in these magazines, they are wearing a ton of make up. So much so, that they have to spray it on. And their hair? Takes like 2 hours to do.

I feel like you are confused.

The fantasy men want is the beautiful woman, who doesn't need to wear make-up, who acts "real" and does not pretend to be an untouchable queen.

I believe the objection is with the opposite - the woman who looks "real," wrinkles and overweight like you mention, but pretends to live the fantasy with tons of make-up, and a prim attitude.
