So, today alone I've seen three old threads that have been resurrected by new posters who I have never seen before. Something's not right here in Hulaville.

We have a slight hypocracy here on C-D. We tell people not to just start new threads willy-nilly, do a search to find out if there is already one for that subject. Then, when we see an old thread resurrected, we rag them about that.

Catch-22.

City Data's threads are quickly indexed by Google so when a random person searches Google for any keywords that are in a thread there stands a good chance they will register to comment on the thread without looking at the date.

That is exactly how I found city data and I'm sure I am not alone.

I don't mind at all since a few of the threadz are interesting enough to me to add a reply. I think I added my .02 cents worth on one the other day and didn't realize it was a couple of years old.

I think there are so many new dull and boring threads getting started these days. Like they are competeng to see who can create the most threads or something.
It's kind of refreshing to see some of the old ones still getting used.

....and many of them are about the same old sexually related themes, like the topic starter is hinting at bragging about their dirty ways and trying to bait others into doing the same.

No - these aren't threads that contain some wonderful useful information that somebody might find helpful. These are threads by people who had relationship troubles, such as a woman asking if she should tell her boyfriend's pregnant wife they had an affair. Stuff that really doesn't bring anything informational to the table. Then, people respond, as if this is going on now, when in reality, the thread is like 2 or 3 years old!
