Hmmm...not sure I go for sexy "elder". But kudos to you for ignoring the "numbers".
Ultimately no one "deserves" ANYTHING, except for basic treatment and respect as a human being. That is something that everyone should keep in mind.
I disagree. "Basic treatment" and "respect" have different meanings for different people. So, I have to define what it is I deserve, not just because of my character, but because I don't trust anyone else to.
I'd say that MOST attractive people of both sexes feel that they deserve an awesome s/o. And I much more often see couples where the woman is a lot more attractive than the man. But I never see an unattractive man with a woman that less attractive than he is.
Otherwise, I feel that many women think that when men are shopping for mate, all they care about is the beauty quotient of the female. So these women work to be as attractive as possible in order to get the most male attention possible. And from there, if they are successful and have a lot of men wanting to date them... of course they should pick the best guy out of the bunch.

I think many women have the idea that their value is tied up into their looks because that's what men & society focus on for women, their appearance. If men value "qualities" like morals over looks, then more should show it.
And whenever I see a guy like you, I laugh and tell all my friends "Look - he's Bruno material!"
