Married folks and those in a long-term committed relationship...
How often do you get dressed up and go out with your SO?
Do you ever meet your SO out somewhere?
My husband and I recently went out to a restaurant/lounge that's known for it's bar scene. One of the bartenders remembered us from a couple weeks prior, so she took our order. As she was serving us, she asked "So how do you two know each other?" We both laughed and said "we're married." She was shocked and pleasantly surprised. She said they don't get many married couples in there. I was taken back that it was uncommon to have married couples dressed up and out at a bar.
Just wondering if there are any other folks on here who enjoy going out with their SO, whether it be dinner, dancing, bars/lounges, etc.?
I need to get a babysitter because I would love to start meeting my husband out for dinner or drinks. I miss the whole idea of getting ready and the anticipation of meeting him out. Am I the only corny person who thinks this way?

It seems to be. A few days ago I was reading an article in a magazine about this and if I'm not mistaken 46% said "date night? what's that?"... I don't find it surprising at all when talking about couples with children. How many people can afford babysitters on a regular basis really?!
It's good to do it. Keeps the fire going! Otherwise people just get lost in the mundane stuff, get cranky, and everything goes downhill.

Couples with young children are definitely an exception. I was one of them, and we rarely went out when he was a baby. When we did, grandmas and close neighbors were always available. Never had a "date night" though...I always thought that sounded kinda silly for married folks.
I agree though...very important to get out of the casa and enjoy the view with your sweetie.

No your not alone I love when we go out - get to put some makeup on and get all decked out in a sexy outfit for my husband. Now if he would only dance (and dance good ) then we would probably do it way more often

I think that it would be incredibly romantic to have a "date night" with your SO.

The only time we really get out (as in dressed up and out for the night) is when my in-laws come to visit for the weekend.
I really need to start interviewing babysitters because I would love to start going out during the week and be able to come home and not worry about the in-laws in the other room (if ya' know what I mean. )
And then there's the whole idea of meeting my husband out. (Another reason why I need a babysitter because I'm sure his parents would question the idea me meeting my husband out somewhere as opposed to leaving with him. LOL )

I guess I just thought that having a specific night...like the 3rd Monday of the month, or every Thursday...as a "date night"...that's the part that sounds silly to me. Going out with your SO should always be romantic!!

Oh, I find this stupid and rigid, too.
