I wonder what could be the cause for this?

Horace Greeley.

The vast majority of men are pursuing a very small minority of women. That is why strippers, centerfolds, and playmates exist. Most single men, and a large percentage of married men, crave physical beauty (and variety) to an extent that most women cannot even comprehend. So you have a very basic problem that demographics will never fix. Trust me.

But demographics still helps You desparately need to move to Phoenix AZ. A woman who is in halfway decent shape, with a nice face, has 2 or 3 guys she dates, and dozens more at her beckon call. It is NYC in reverse. Finding a keeper is still as hard as it is anywhere, since most of them will bang a stripper in a heartbeat given the chance, but at least you'll have 10x the options you had in New York.
"A woman who is in halfway decent shape, with a nice face, has 2 or 3 guys she dates, and dozens more at her beckon call."
I split time between Phoenix and SD and most of my average female friends can't find a decent guy at all. They can find broke guys and ONS til the cows come home, but not so many keepers. Same applies to SD. I'm not really disagreeing with your statement since it kind of falls in line with what you said below.

"Finding a keeper is still as hard as it is anywhere,"
True. Many available women but not so that are a good match.

Broke guys aren't good enough for them?

Isn't this a bad thing now, as George Clooney's old, and there are much sexier men to be had? At least that's how the youth of today feel.

Interesting. I'm from LA and lived in San Diego. LA seems to be about equal (IMO), and SD is nick named Man Diego. San Diego was like the easiest place to date provided you literally just wanted that, a date. When I would be walking down busy streets in Gaslamp and in Pacific Beach, it wasn't unusual to have men talk to me there and I wasn't in my prime or anything lol.

Yes and women that sleep around like this and have casual sex are undesirable for long-term relationships. Unfortunately, these women are the majority anywhere you go.
