I always ask this question of guys who do not like it. Usually its the too tan skin that looks thick or red nails (which what?). The oddest one was that "skanks look oily" LOL
oops, what is wrong with red nails? It's the wierd colors , I think that are skanky- green or blue nail polish, especially on toes. Yuck. Of course, I think even blue lingerie is pushing the envelope.

Red nails are sexy (I'm told) if you are going out on the town in a little black dress. I'm not so sure they are considered "classy" for everyday wear.
nice to see, seems like you are conservatives like me.
Actually, I bite my nails (gross I know, but no worse than smoking) and I've been kind of a nervous wreck lately, so sue me. I wouldn't paint them red or any other "bright" color. I am more of a "french manicure" kind of person for sure. I would paint my toenails red though, especially when I am tan because it just looks nicer IMO.
PS: I don't think looking skanky has anything to do with nail polish anyway.
I don't have an issue with it but I don't understand WHY you would want to know That's like asking a man would he rather have a hooker or a nun; trailer trash vs. suberbia chick???? SOME men will date skanks but marry nice girls.
BTW: I do not have red nails at the moment.....but can wear them if the occassion calls for it!
