It could be...running through the sprinklers. It could be playing on a swing set. If you can have FUN with someone that you're with (or, at least, if THEY are having fun), it brings a whole new dimension to the relationship.

It sounds better to ask-"what do you enjoy doing the most in your sparetime?

Because there are things that I like doing...but haven't done in years. Maybe because I wanted to do it with someone else. Like canoeing, for example. Or going to a science museum--haven't done that since I was a kid, but I'd like to go again. Just not by myself.

So, what do I like doing in my spare time as a single person isn't the same as what I want to do in a relationship. As a single man, I could sit online for hours, but in a relationship, I probably wouldn't spend much time online at all.

Heck, I haven't even gone out to do karaoke for a while. For one thing, my last ex didn't enjoy it. But even when I was single again, I just haven't felt up to getting out of the house on my two nights off to go find somewhere to sing.

The truth is that I DON'T watch too much tv. However, I do like renting DVD's of television shows and watching many web-based series. I would have to answer that question, "Mad Men, House, South Park and The Guild"....then wait for them to give me a blank stare because I didn't say Big Brother or American Idol.
