For me it when my date doesn't eat any or very little of her food. She orders the most expensive thing on the menu, which I wouldn't care if she ate it, just because she can. I think sometimes they try to impress you with how little they eat? I'm not impressed, however there is more for me so it isn't a total loss. Lets here some of yours?

I don't get that. I'd lick my plate like a 4 year old if it didn't blow my chances at a second date.

Back when I was YOUNG and single, I would get very, very nervous when I went on a date. Especially if it was someone that I liked. As a result, sometimes I just couldn't eat much. My tummy was just tied in knots.
I did not, however, order the most expensive thing on the menu. That is just rude.
I'm not counting FIRST dates, because I think on some level those are a minefield for both sexes.
However, on OTHER dates, the very thing you just listed, ordering expensively and not eating it, is a HUGE irritant.
Another is making demands which disregard YOUR desires, ie., inviting a woman to see a particular movie you'd like to see, and once you get there her saying she's not really keen on that movie and suggesting an alternative.
Some women respond to that by saying "Well, she wants to BE WITH you, she just doesn't want to see that particular movie!"
Color it any way you like, that's just rude -- and I've seen it a LOT.
I am not afraid to eat at all. I'm a total steak and potato woman!!
