Eh, yea I guess so. If talking with my friends, a girl is "hot" of course. But if I'm telling a girl I care about how she looks, I would use "beautiful."
Adding to Mango Tango's list. Compliments to women lost in translation.
Cute: Awwwww she's soooo cute! Look at her Tom isn't she cute -Owwww! She bites! Fiesty one she is!
Sexy: I am horny.
Beautiful: You remind me of a rose, over looking the sunset, walking along the beach as the wind tossles through my hair, etc etc. By the way, are you impressed yet?
Gorgeous: OoooOO la la.
Lovely: I respect you, but you still make me horny.
Hot: Did I mention that I am horny?
Pretty: I'm running out of adjectives here ... You're ATTRACTIVE ok! I am SEXUALLY attracted to YOU. How much more do you need to know?
Adorable: This is what you say when you want to p*ss a woman off! What's that I hear? Awwww yes, she's sharpening her fangs
I use hot and beautiful pretty much interchangeably if a girl is devastatingly good looking. Cute means she's attractive, but in a more down to earth way than someone who's hot. For example, Shania Twain is cute but Heidi Klum is hot.
Adorable, with some exceptions, usually has more to do with mannerisms than just looks for me.
I never use the word "pretty" to describe a woman. Seems rather old fashioned and childish to me.
