Maybe they are psychos and don't really care about the death of their son.
COME ON Artsy
One day if you are ever a parent you will see the ridiculousness of that statement.
It does seem weird to all of us, but grief can make you do lots of things that seem weird. I pray you never experience the kind of grief that pushes you to that place. These people are devastated, my heart goes out to them.

This is such a strange story. Its unfortunate that the kid died, but for them to get married on the day of the funeral is just flat out ridiculous.
People are strange.
Did they have a D.J. or live band at the Reception?
I don't think it's weird; it depends on how it was handled.
When my grandmother died, my aunt married her boyfriend that she'd been living with for 8 years and had 2 kids from (something my grandmother had been asking her to do for years). It wasn't at the funeral but at church the next day because we still had a lot of family there - it was kinda a bitterweet moment because they didn't do it while my grandmother was alive to see it but at the same time we all know she would have been estatic about it and we all were kinda smiling imagining how excited she would have been. My aunt said she felt like my grandmother was smiling down on them from Heaven.
People handle grief differently. You shouldn't call people ridiculous because you don't agree with something they're doing, especially if it doesn't affect you.
It's not for any of us to decide. They did what they felt would have made him happy. And they get to remember their son every anniversary and think how happy he is looking down on them knowing they fulfilled his wish for them. And even if it doesn't work out, at least they tried.
