LOL, no. I remember back in the 80's - early 90's there was a Radio Jockette named Delilah though. She played romantic sexy songs and has one of those bedroom voices. Her show was called, ummm, something like, "Sweet nights with Delilah" or something. Never met one though.
I don't know if it was fate or coincidence or the Tao or what, but for many years I seemed to connect most deeply with women whose first names began with the letter "D". Donna (3 of them), Debbie, Diane, Doreen...
Go figure.
And NO, I wasn't working my way through the alphabet. What am I - some perverted Sesame Street character?
My friend Zantha says I'm not.
Weird. Cuz every gal I've known with a "D" name turned out to be a really bad friend. Stuck up for no reason at all (they were legends in their own minds!) and just odd. ESPECIALLY the Donnas!
As for men, I really like "solid," traditional names. And here I am in Texas, where guys are often named "Colt" and "Tanner,"

Delilah! Gag! I can't stand her voice. She always reminded me of those two women on the Schweaty Balls SNL skit.

The friend aspect, whereas I am concerned being a "D," I still have my elementary school friends and we're very close. I'm a great friend. At least that's why I think they've been friends with me for 30 years.
Been accused of being stuck up and a legend in my own mind, but then again, I have the double whammy of being a Virgo. I have stuck up tendencies, although not stuck up as a whole. So I agree with this part. Could be true. I knew another girl with my name that I felt the same about how some perceived me.
The Donna I knew back in High School was a total arrogant B!t@h.

As far as I know she's still on some stations. I once joked about starting my own radio show--an Anti-Delilah show--where I play requests for breakups and mortal enemies. I like it still.

Well, I've never lived in Florida but if I knew you, I'm sure you'd give a good name to the D-gals.
A former friend named Donna was a nurse's aid (but she'd tell everyone she was a nurse) and she bragged about having sex with male patients at the hospital she worked at! Heh, no wonder the guys here love the Donnas!
The Debbies and Dianes I've known were just really stuck-up.
