Why won't you go to the dr, and when you do, why do you make it out to be better than it really is?

Your dr cannot treat you if they do not know your symptoms!

Because I don't see a need to seek medical attention for every little sniffle, or any other symptom, that I can certainly live with.

I totally agree. Women go to the doctors office just waaaaaay too much. If I break something, I'll go to urgent care or to the ER.

One thing I do though is visit my dentist for cleanings twice per year.

Default You're so right

Well at least from my family's experience. My 77 year old dad has always been like that! Now, I'm not that way, but then I've never felt I was a typical anything.

Heck, sometimes you DO break something, and they tell you there's nothing much they can do for you but put a splint on it--if that much.

I can do that at home, myself. I can buy surgical tape and tape one toe to the next--I don't need to pay anywhere from $50 to $75 for an office visit just to have them do that.

Great question! This is something that makes me shake my head in disbelief; they don't tell b'c they're worried about the news a resulting test could bring so instead of applying common sense--get the test and cure the problem before it reaches the incurable/irreversible stage--they pretend it isn't happening. Wtf?

I dont hide things from the doctor. Because IF I go to the Doc then something is broken, inflammed or I can hardly get out of bed. Usually something has to bother me for a week or two before I think about it. Women go too often because they like attention and to chat.

You MUST be kidding!

I treat myself on the very rare occasions I get sick. Haven't been to a Western doctor in over 25 years. And as was said, I don't feel the need to go to their office, sit 3 hours among even sicker people, take off my clothes and sit for another hour, then see the doc for 2 minutes and get a Rx for some deadly pill or another.

Doctors...grrrrr.....

I'd rather spend my health-care dollars on pole-dancers - I'd feel much better, much faster.
