Did you ever look back and say
"what was wrong with me, why did I let him or her go? If you found him or her again..would you give it a try. Or say I'm not going there ever again."

If so lemme hear about them....

No...actually the exact opposite! I ran into the "love of my life" () about a year ago and I thought "Whew, it's a good thing you let that one go!" He had gotten chubby, had a boring job and had already been married 3 times...

In a word yes. But I rather not talk about it.

A long time ago I had a friend/girlfriend that I was with for about 5 or 6 months. I still to this day don't know why I was with her for so long. We had nothing in common. She was not my type. We really didn't click. I remember when she gave me the we need to see other people speech. I was actually relieved. I didn't have the nads to break it off first.

Weird stuff really.

Yes and I'd take it back in a minute if I could. This man loved me from the time I was 12 and I was so insecure and damaged from my upbringing that I didn't know how to love him in a healthy way. He finally gave up on me in our 20's and moved on. We remain great friends and still love each other but not in a way that would be enough. So much time has passed and we are quite settled into our lives apart from each other.

I keep thinking it would be a great story to tell our kids if we actually got back together 30 years after we met.

Once. She was the one that got away, but I let her get away, or rather, I chased her off. I didn't want to complicate her life with my life's issues I was going through at the time. She was a good person and really had her act together and deserved much better. It was very hard for me to just walk away from her, and even harder not to look back, but I know I did the right thing. I sometimes wonder how she is doing today, and hope she is truly happy and found someone that treats her good.

Well hopefully someday you can. As for me, yes I loved. But no I don't think it was true love. My old love from when I was 19 just befriend me on facebook. He also was my "first". It was rather weird talking to him again. And he was the hot tall swimmer guy. Very well built might I add. And with many of my older friends...lol. he has gotton heavy. And Mr. Condfident isn't there anymore. He just plays that goofy farmville game all the time.
