Default Ever have one of those....

..weekends that never quite works out the way you had hoped?? Here is mine....

Friday I was manless! Yes! He met some guy friends at a car show and had a testosterone filled evening, wasn't going to be home until really late so, me being me, I decided that I was going to find something to do. I called the friends, they were undecided, called my daughter, she had made plans. So, instead, I filled up my gas tank.

While out, the friends decided they are staying in for the evening, the daughter calls and says her plans have changed so I go to her place.
I get there and it's already late, past 10 pm but we make a go of it anyway, with no one else to hang out with, we decide to go grab a drink - at the cheesecake factory of all places LOL

So, Friday night was a bust. But there is hope! Saturday the evening I've been planning for a month now has finally arrived! I had a ball to go to, you know, long gown, hair done, makeup done, long sexy dress, a good friend as a date and I'm so pumped, I bought new shoes a new dress, the whole kit and kaboodle. So it's going to be a good time, right? RIGHT?

Nope No my friends, as luck would have it, I didn't have a good time at the ball, hardly anyone showed up and the women there well, needless to say they didn't dress for the occasion, although my date and I were the best looking couple there LOL The evening itself sucked though, the food was horrible, the DJ never showed, we got all dolled up to sit down for two hours. Needless to say it was disappointing and as much as you try to make the best of something, some things are beyond help.

Sunday, yes! I still have one day to make up for the poor weekend thus far... so my SO and I decide we are going to throw caution to the wind and take the HD out for a scenic ride up to Jim Thorpe. Well, that's about 2 hours from our house - on our current seat on the bike it also means that's the limit of time I have before the numb-butt starts and the pain LOL - I was going to be a road warrior though and ignore the pain! Yay me! Well, we did ride to the beautiful town of Jim Thorpe, did it in intervals although, on the way back we were both hurting. We will be ordering a new seat soon LOL We ended the amazing ride with a trip to Walmart - Ohhhh how I love Walmart (not really lol)

Just goes to show, no matter how well you plan and look forward to something for the weekend, it's not always a guarantee it's going to work out but, you make the best of it anyway!

Hope you all had a good weekend!

Friday night it stormed so the satellite tv was "searching for signal" all night.
Saturday noon daughter #1 calls me and tells me what a bi*ch daughter #2 is because she wont let her borrow the "perfect" dress that she needs.
Saturday 2pm daughter #3 calls and tells me that daughters #1 and #2 are both a**holes because they wont watch her dogs so she and hubby can get away for a few days.
Saturday 6pm dad calls daughters #1 #2 and #3 and tells them to be at his house for lunch on Sunday.
Sunday 1pm dad tells daughters #1 #2 and #3 that he didnt raise a**holes or bitches and all 3 of them need to grow the hell up!!!!!!!!
That was my weekend.

LOL....funny story, thanks for sharing.

It happens more often in the discovery phase of the online dating scene; people will cancel or reschedule. In those instances, I'm relieved. I get to strip back down to my tank and boxers and become one with the couch. I enjoy great company but I'm just as happy at home, so it works out either way.

Didn't read your entire post, no offence to you, I just don't tend to read anyone's who are long. But based on your heading and first sentence.....yes totally, happens to everyone, in fact this weekend gone was one of them for me .
But onwards and upwards......
