LOL, if I am "30". . that means I had my son when I was - um, er, "12?!" WOW. I started kinda early, huh! Scary!

For once, I am relieved I am not 30.

Enough of Andrew. . .

SO! - I am back from the airport. Had a GREAT - and I mean GREAT weekend!

I did get him 2 dozen roses, but I put them in a really nice vase in my family room which was surrounded by 2 dozen helium balloons and 3 Sponge Bob big silver balloons, balloons scattered throughout the room. Last minute, went to the bakery (I made those Jello and whipped creams treats too) and got his favorite cake and stopped at the local massage spa and got him a certificate for 2 hours. He loves the laser keyboard! He never saw it before and was actually so relieved that he now has one. We went out to dinner with my son, went to the beach (to walk, was too cold to swim), a couple of my friends dropped by to wish him a happy birthday, and then we did dinner on our own, watched a movie, cooked breakfast together, etc. It was a very nice, very fun weekend!

He will be back again on Friday for the weekend. We talked this weekend about how as soon as his latest business deal is closed in the next 45 days, he is moving to Miami (less time on the plane for him for business). Well, as some of you know, I was planning on moving to either Chicago or New York City, was undecided - change of plan now. Right after Christmas, as it stands, my son and I will be moving to Miami instead.

A lot of great surprises lately!! He told me for the first time ever that he really loves me and sees this heading into the big picture! I love him too and no cane jokes, viagra jokes , haters or the like can change that. I'm finally sooo happy again like I haven't felt in years and feel like a bouncy, giddy teenager!
Whoohoo!! I thought about you two this weekend (I just realized that sounds really creepy...), because I was hoping your time together was going really well! I'm so happy it turned out great

Thanks, MA! Not creepy at all. What would be creepy is if I said that I was thinking about YOU this weekend while he was here.

Well.

Y'knowwhatimean.

LOL

So, as I understand, I missed a little party in this thread over the weekend while I was off in la-la land. Anyone get any nice gifts?

Glad you had such a good time - happy tales are SO welcome on this forum!!!

Yes, you missed a brief to-do when somebody threw a hissy fit 2 year old type tantrum! I thought for a moment there my computer was going to start throwing off sparks.

Read thru the posts and thought that some were a lot off on suggestions.

The man is 63. Been a long time since I was there.

Being practical and a business man a logical gift would be a very nice Ball point Pen and Pencil set.

While in College my GF and later wife bought me a set that was used many times.

Flowers are nice but only for the moment.

He would need something for every day to remind him of her.

Cuff links...Tie pin...Money clip...Key chain Fob etc...something small to carry around all the time.

Age difference is not a factor. Twice I had a GF that were 30 yrs younger then me...neither one wanted to get married...their loss. One was a liberated woman and the other did not want to leave her extended sibling family on being the oldest.

The man has some needs and they are being fulfilled by a caring person who is happy and content.

We all need to wish her well.

Steve

Thanks, STT! It was a very exciting weekend, he even surprised me and gave me a nice gift, making me feel like it was my birthday! So sweet.

Ahhh, the gift of electricity, lol, heard a bit about it. We need to start a "print screen and save" group for the greatest hits.

That so so sweet, thank you, Steve! You have a great heart.

Some of the very select few haters here despise the fact that when a younger woman ends up with an older man, it limits their dating pool even further. Too much competition for some to handle and deal with like a MAN, so they must mock to cope, not considering the fact whatsoever that their own youth is not eternal.
