well, in the subject line of the email, I stated who I was. I don't think he would have forgotten that easily.

that's a possibility. I have had friends tell me they didn't see my email for several days. that's why I specify in my subject line who I am, my email address doesn't contain my name, so I want to make sure I don't get spammed out or anything.

thanks! It's actually kind of fun doing the asking. You just never know until you try! Even though I'd much prefer the guy ask me out, I have been more assertive in doing so the last several months now.

Good for you, you may surprised that many men like a woman confident enough to ask someone out. But be aware, you may get rejected a time or two.

any thoughts?

That seems all right. A first step that might lead to something. Good luck...

Yes, but he may have made eye contact with others that day, so he might not be certain which one was you. In other words, he might not be certain if you're the one he saw on the 3rd or 4th floor that day. I think I'd write it off too, but wait to see what happens the next time he comes through.

Ok all!! an update! Salesboy wrote me back, he told me he just started dating someone and wants to see where it goes, but he also said he wants to keep my contact info. (I kinda figured he was dating someone)
so, not a bad response, at least he wrote back!

Awesome!!! I think it was fantastic that you wrote to him. It took more guts than I have.
You never know, his new girl may turn out to be a crazed stalker and he may end up with you after all
