There was a guy in here who started a thread about how metal heads are looked down and criticized and everything.
But honestly, I had never experience that sort of rejection. Au contraire, being a metal head had been useful in the game of love.
Why it is different for guys to like heavy metal? Because in my case, I met the love of my life though our love for heavy metal (and history, anime, comic books, video games, insanity, etc).
I mean, I've always see that if a woman is into the things I stated above, is ok, and even sexy. But if a guy is into that stuff, he's just immature, nerdy, or he'd never gotten laid.
Does anybody else, besides me, hate this double standard?
BTW, I'm in the service, Latina, and really pretty.
I've always loved heavy metal. Matter of fact its my base. I happen to be going to a U2 concert today. Pretty much the opposite of metal. I do like all kinds of music though.
I have always listened to heavy metal/rock music. I am x-military, did some college, make good money, have a cat, don't drink (often), have very short hair, do volunteer work, and take great care of my body. In regards to what music people listen to stereotypes are often a bad indicator of that person's accomplishments or personality. Then again when I was younger I would get drunk daily and often break things. I think that can be attributed to young males though and not buying into the idea that "the music made me do it", as I knew people who listened to country music and had the same behaviors.
I never got into U2. Every song they made sounds too similar to their prior songs. I just never got them or their screechy gay looking vocalist.

Hatebreed would be one of the last few "metal" bands I enjoy. Everything else is like Creed, Breaking Benjamin, Red, 3 Days Grace, etc...
That's because she colored that one differently. Colors play tricks on how the brain tells the eyes to interpret it.
