Why do people stare while I hold hands with my bf? (college, difference)

You are obviously not a sensitive or caring person. I can see that right away. She nor I need to explain to you about what minorities have to sometimes suffer through.
Amen, artsyguy. Denial gets us no where. I know from experience that people will stare--albeit for a variety of reasons. When I am with my s.o., I find it best to just focus on us. Only once was I seriously disturbed by the staring. One guy actually boo'ed us. Can you believe? In NYC?
Oh well... Some stare out of admiration, some out of a sense of longing, some out of curiousity... Who knows? It's not always healthy to overanalyze, but I see nothing wrong with bringing it up.
I'm attracted to Jews and Italians, but I get upset when people give us that 'oh I'm so surprised' look as if they want to pat me on the head, or when some look at us angrily, like what i mentioned above.
You do know that "Jew" is not a race...? That's like saying one is attracted to Christians. You don't even know what they are until you ask.
Again you are wrong as usual. Being a Jew could mean you are Hebrew. It's not always a religious thing. As a gay ethnic minority you should be offering help in this thread not defending the problem. .

You beat me to it. I was thinking the same thing and was about to post on it.
With that, Im pretty sure the OP has left the room. Not to show up again in her thread. Or, at least not respond to what you said.
Didn't see it was her. But just because she has a white bf nobody stares at them. Sometimes I look too, but I don't stare.
