I think a lot of it has to do with social stigma. If a guy goes to a bar twice a week and picks up women for one-night stands, he is a 'playa'. If a woman does the same thing she is the town ****. No woman I know wants that stigma.
You act as if men don't have any self control

Stigma plays a huge part for women... I knew a girl who only sleep with 2 guys in 1 year, and behind her back her so called "friends" where calling her a ****, and making snide comments like "who hasn't she sleep with".. To me, they sounded jealous...

I don't know if you win anything, but you guys certainly make ME feel better! Not sure how it works for men, but I'd imagine I'd grow cobwebs in the span of 11 years.

It's just hormonal/how nature intended. The purpose of the male gender sexuality-wise is to fertilize and impregnate as many females as possibles. Females, on the other hand, "theoretically" only need to have sex every year or so to continue the species.

<havent read anything other than the op>

Women do not wake up with "Morning Wood". We can go soooooooooooo long. We just dont think like men do.

Give us a hawt movie or song and the wheels (rusty or not) will start turning. Kiss a certain place, ie neck etc etc etc and they will turn as well... however say or do something "wrong" and a rock will stop the wheel from turning.

I hate it and love it all in the same breath. <3

Hi sierraAZ,

Its sort trading in a small arm for a cannon. The rate of fire may go down but then the sensitivity goes up and wants to go bang. Just see how something smells after a 3 day fast. Sooner or later it went off in my sleep if I didn't vent. There is no getting away from it. There were times I wished for cobwebs because I did like the freedom of being single. However you tend to look forward not back. If someone told me at 23 that it would not be until 34????

It was really just being around women that I forgot about. I can remember years going by without even eating , walking or talking with a women. I had completely lost any sense of it out of college at about 25. There is kind of a buzz to it but I didn't miss it until a career change ended up re-exposing me. Its related to sex, but not quite the same thing; its sort of like a crush feels I guess.

right AnalizeThis, and that social stygma is alive and well...needing sex is hormonal, isn't it? Plus everyone's wired differently. Sex for most women is an emotional thing where in most men it's purely physical. Most women need to feel something for the person they'll share their body with. I can surely believe there are people out there who've gone without for years and years, the longer you do without, the more of a habit it becomes. After a while you don't sit and ponder it anymore and time goes by quickly....Plenty of married couples don't even share the same bed, let alone have sex, not that people talk about it and they shouldn't; it's really a private matter.
