cancel your membership? I'm so annoyed right now that I just came across a dating profile of a coworker who sits right across from me. I just like my outside life to be private and now debating should I stay on but I already purchased the membership.
I wouldn't have a problem with it, and wouldn't mention it unless they did first. If it's a female, I might even check out the profile details. I wouldn't see any reason to be ashamed of it--certainly there are plenty of people out there that are "between relationships".
Now, with some people, it's more like, "I've been single since Tuesday, but I'll find someone new tonight." I've really never understood that viewpoint--to always be "on the hunt"...and never really want to settle down with someone.
EDIT: With that being said, I have a policy of not DATING coworkers. If the relationship ever goes sour, it might be difficult to continue to act professionally and civilly with the person--either because of you, or because of the conduct of the other person towards you. So what happens? One of you leaves the job, or you just continue with a strained work atmosphere? Not healthy.
As long as the person is single and "free to date" (and I was, too) it wouldn't bother me in the least. A few years back I came across the profile of a neighbor on a dating site who wasn't "free to date". He was married with a brand new baby!

Cancel? Why? I mean, they are there for the same reason you are...whats the big deal?
