It's 19 degrees here and almost one in the morning and my husband is off in the middle of nowhere somewhere with his new telescope somewhere looking at stars and is annoyed that I didn't come.

As you should! Nothing gets me outside in temps like that unless I have to take the kids to school, get to work or someone needs a kidney...other than that, I am bundled up inside!

Do you start getting abnormally drowsy when you are on call?? Sort of like a narcoleptic response to the work requirement? I do and have to laugh since I can stay up until the sun comes up and am not dragging the next day but the second I am on call I become lethargic and "exhausted"

I probably will fall asspleep in my office chair, only to awake to birds chirping and disapproval from myself.

Back in the astro-physics days, we would end up reading constellations in the observatory well into the night. Good times

In the observatory....now that I would go for. Out in the middle of the night in the freezing cold in the middle of nowhere!? Not tonight. I've got a warm fire and my blanket and a glass of wine.
