I believe it. I really do. We lived in one - I swear and it too was another huge old house my dad wanted to remodel. My own house isn't very far from that one (I could walk there) and the whole area is where famous Indian war battles took place (I live across the street) from the mounds that were built for this purpose and is now a park.
In between my house now and the one I lived in then was an old Orphanage built in the 1800's and was still active when I lived at home. Just recently they tore it down and were starting to build houses on the property and they found over 300 human bodies burried there - no caskets or markers that had been there for over 100 years. I think it explains the stuff in the old house and that house had a vibe the minute you walked into it - I threw a fit the night before we moved into it because I hated it.
I was telling my one aunt how I felt about it years and years later and she said, "I'm so glad you said that because I could feel it too - there was something in that house."
