To build his confidence, just let it happen to you when he is there.
Let him know that you NEED HIM. By doing it to yourself alone all the time, he might feel that you really don't need him and its making him feel bad.
If my husband was doing it alone all the time, it would make me feel terrible.

Make him wear a big old strap-on and order him to do half an hour non-stop pelvis thrusts twice daily.
Maybe that'll learn him.
Alternatively, surprise him often with a different BJ Thomas song.

Us hispanics have a remedy for that. It is called "Sopa de los 7 Poderes" ( The 7 Powers Soup) which is a concoction of various seafoods mixed together in a soup that's supposed to give whoever eats it a huge sexual boost for days (cheaper than the other options).
