After reading a thread on CD over the past few days I realize the Herd Mentality is alive and well and wanted to share this article about it...I find it fascinating that only 5% of a crowd can coerce the other 95% without their knowledge.

Good article. I would have guessed it at a higher percentage but wasn't terribly surprised....

ETA: lol And then I post pretty much the same thing as LM. Guess I'm part of that herd mentality, huh?!?!

I guess I am surprised we are not more self aware of these influences and we do not try to make changes in ourselves...we just "go with the flow"...

When I use the term "we" I am referring to the "universal 'we' " and not referring to anyone in particular...

A perfect example of this frame of mind is the girl who was raped at her high school homecoming dance in California and people watched, participated and photographed for 2 hours before a call was made
