Default Is it possible some men are attracted to obese/large-framed woman?

For the most part, many men in generally will focus on a woman's body and if she can fit through clothings. It's very obvious that the taller we are, the more weight into it.

However, this is not the case with a friend of mine. From our high school years, she had a weight problem and later on, become obese (she's 5'5' and weights approximately 160-170's). Since the boyfriend already knew about her weight problem, gaining some more pounds was nothing new to him. The last thing I hear is they're still together and have a child now.

The next case is my uncle who has been married for many years and doesn't seem to mind she's been at 180-200 Ibs. I saw a picture of them once when they were younger and she still was considerably overweight (less than now but still).
Then there used to be an obese girl in my high school but the boyfriend didn't mind. The other case was my father telling me about a youth friend that always was into dating overweight large woman (I'm not talking about few extra pounds added but the obese one weighting at about 160-180 Ibs).

Not trying to be judgmental and realize everyone tastes must vary but at some point wouldn't they want to see them taking care of themselves more or at least lose some pounds? Or is it that these I mentioned don't really care?

Yes. It's a preference. Beside the standard for beauty today in the Western world wasn't the way it was in older times.

There are websites dedicated to dating larger women. A friend of mine loves them, but he has his limits. The woman he is with now is pretty large and she is beautiful. But he probably wouldn't go any larger than her.

I don't see why someone wouldn't be concerned if someone they loved has health issues because of their weight, if they were in their right mind anyway.

Yeah I don't get that. In my uncle's case, he should have at least take her to a doctor or not letting her eat greasy things bad for her health. But I guess whatever suits him.

I would hardly consider this as "obese." Over weight, yes, but obese, is a strong word.

There's a difference between being heavy, large framed and obese.
Some full figured women are more fit than a slender woman. Weight isn't a good measurement of how healthy someone is. You really just need to see a doctor because the numbers on a scale are deceptive.

A lot of people are so obsessed with what the AMA considers "obese", they don't take in to account body type or whether a person happens to carry more muscle, thereby making them heavier. Not everyone that is overweight is unhealthy. I'd say don't worry it, if they are happy, let them be.

Physical attraction is at the root of what first gets our attention in a relationship - but there really is no one perfect body type that works for every man (or woman).

Peoples preferances are as varied as snowflakes (no two are alike ) so you have to get over applying YOUR concept of what is attractive to everyone else and realize your uncle had his own ideas of what appealed to him. His wife obviously "did it" for him. You don't have to understand it, but you should respect it

Oh, and YES, many men find heavier women very attractive.

I was thinking the same thing. That's going overboard!
