It's been taken over by the apartment brokering agencies so bad that every ad leads to the same company or the other.

You can't even find that decent place anymore. I literally spent several days weeding out the brokers.

Can't believe TVSG uses that site to date The site's best used by hookers, pimps and pornographers. I read news articles where any guy with a camera posts an ad, a misguided woman responds, they go to some place and make amateur videos. And there are webmasters who pay money for every upload

I believe that!

I have always pretty much hated it but broke down and used it for job searching. I was quickly reminded of why I hated it in the first place....

Oh I've seen these places in and around NYC, even in the good cities like New Rochelle, Yonkers or Mamaroneck

I came to America with a different vision of cityscape and cleanliness. Was brought down to earth.

It's places as these that I abhor. There's a difference between poverty and squalor. There certainly is a difference between frugal living and ghettos/slums. It all comes down to cleanliness and sanitation, which can be achieved even when poor.

In India, places like Mumbai are unbearable. So bad I won't even set my foot in that city for more than 2 or 3 days.

I'd lived all my life in the South, shielded behind well-maintained cities and towns. That's why slums and ghettos depress me coz I cannot tolerate the squalor. I can embrace the poor people, but there are people who prefer to be dirty coz they are poor. That's just a loss of human ethics

Now, I went to France when I was 12. I only remember a few places coz I was little. My father was saying much later how France was degrading.

I've never been there after that and I pretty much have an idea of what Paris is becoming.

The Asian, North African, Algerian and Middle Eastern communities have barricaded themselves in suburbs which they call "banlieu"

And I take special notice to these facts coz my town of birth used to be a French colony till 1964. My grandfathers had French citizenship which the French freely gave away when they were vacating. But my parents didn't pursue that for reasons I never understood, which I clearly understand today.....

My classmates who dreamed of going to France one day wasted their youth and education and simply flew to France using the citizenship of their forefathers. This citizenship was something my Dad revoked pronto when I was 6 or 7.

These dudes who went to school with me are now living in those banlieus. In absolute squalor and poverty. They are the scavengers of French society now.

One of the guys told me that..... even the municipality fears sending men to these quarters to clean and pick up garbage. Coz it leads to racial attack and violence. One can literally find poo in the elevators and urine smelling all over the bridge and hookers and drugs and the whole nine yards.

This is also the hot seat of Islamic fundamentalism, they thrive in this confusion. And this is Paris

Ohhh, I totally agree with this. I went to Paris and absolutely hated it. Paris was filthy dirty and although I got to see some really awesome things, I don't care to ever go back there again. I won't even get into the attitude towards Americans. It was really a very disappointing experience....

Oh, they are slowly coming down to earth again.

Google the vandalizing of American WWII graves in France. There are some really gross folks out there

Off to bed now. Good night
