I hate this popular lately "THE wife" deal! It sounds sarcastic and disrespectful to me. Maybe the guys are afraid of being accused of possessiveness should they say "MY wife"...

Yeah, we're not far from "the ole ball n chain". Or maybe they're trying to flatter? THE Wife. THE Man. THE Rock. THE U. THE Ohio State University...

I usually use the first name and innovative code words, derived off her name.

I've always thought that words like babe, baby, honey and the like are gay

Nah... it doesn't sound flattering to me at all. It definitely resembles the "ball & chain" saying.

Who said you were unmarryable? You're absolutely marriage material.

Just as soon as you're able to wear a "small" in Abercrombie sweaters.

Oh no, they're tiny. They're made by elves, for elves. Antlered was a bit jealous that his brother could wear a small and he could no longer fit in one. That's why he became relatively obsessive about calorie counting in the new year. Seriously, after-school special worthy.

Oh, Sierra, you're clearly in the minority

Yellfire, I've been living only on chicken breast, egg whites and skimmed milk since the last 10 days. I'll be Fitch fit in a matter of 2 months I hope

Ha-ha, at first I thought you meant he was too small even for their S size.
