I agree totally.

One of my co-workers received an interoffice envelope and opened it without looking at the name. After she opened it, she realized it in fact was NOT addressed to her. It was a love letter from one married co-worker to another married co-worker.

Now, the woman who found this letter is telling a lot of people. My first instinct is to usually mind my own business, but I wonder if I should warn the guilty couple that this is spreading like wildfire throughout the office?

What should I do? (if anything)
Shame on your sleazy co-worker for spreading gossip.

I'd inform the person who wrote the letter that it has gone public so she/he can deal with the fallout.

I might be inclined to say something BUT I wouldn't want to get involved in the drama unless it was a very close friend - then I would definitely say something. Also, if other co-workers start talking about it just nod your head and don't engage in conversations about it...and encourage others to do the same.

Right - thanks for finishing the thought I forgot to finish

DO NOT engage in this gossip - rise above it and refuse to participate Sacto.

I agree with princesasabia, 2 wrongs don't make a right. The married "CHEATERS" SHOULD know better, then to have an office affair, some how some where, some point, someone is going to find out. Doesn't mean the one with THE BIG MOUTH is right either. I say grab a bag of popcorn, get yourself a drink, and be ready FOR "REALTY TV"

Yeah, it's where they sell houses. When these people get caught, I imagine some houses will be on the market.
