Tell him you decided to lose more than 10 pounds, that you have decided instead to rid yourself of 135 pounds of useless flab ... and then kick him to the curb. He is NOT the man who will stand by you through life's trials...he's there only as long as you are what he wants you to be...but, he will probably expect YOU to accept him no matter what....I hope you will move on asap.

10lbs is not much. Well it's 10lbs but you know what I mean.

Your own post contains all the answers. What happens when you age or get pregnant? What if you lost a leg? Does a leg weigh 10lbs? Problem solved! If you got married it sounds like he would need to rewrite that bit about "Through sickness and in health" and add on "But not if she gains a few pounds."

I think you deserve better. You need to lose over a 100lbs and I'll tell you how to do it. Kick that load of man to the curb. Successful weight loss has never been so easy.

Reading between the lines, I can't help wondering if there's something you are NOT saying which is important ?

10 pounds doesn't seem like a big deal, and doesn't seem to justify his reactions. Unless he's one of the real gym obsessed people, in which case I think he needs help !!

How is your relationship otherwise ? Are you guys having problems in any other way ?

Is he having problems in his own life ?

Has his behaviour changed substantially ?

Do you feel YOU'VE changed ?
