I dont think the majority of men are not that confident when it comes to women. Most men try to put on an air of confidence but deep down its really a fake.I also think there have been to much expectations put on men in this country. We cant live up to being a supper provider, hansom confident prince charming that that provides excitment drama and adventure 24 hours a day. I totaly agree with you rick.astly about the god awuful game that is dating in this country. Not as much bull s*hit in other parts of the world.

This forum did not come up with it. The term has been around for years.

That may be so, but most of us have never heard of it. Obviously, it's kind of wacko for a male to apply it to himself and then come on here whining about it. Rance is right. It sounds gay. If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck and walks like a duck..

Well I was always under the impression that a manlet was a male under 5'8 and nothing more...a short guy, but he does appear to be applying it to himself in a negative way.

How could you NOT use it in a "negative" way? Manlet. The very addition of the suffix "let" means something less than a full-fledged man. It's a diminutive suffix. Piglet, starlet, applet...all perfectly appropriate and easily understood. But to attach it to the word "man"...of course it's negative. It's a slam.
