Let's see. I love the city of Chicago. That's traditional American, right?
Depends what you like about Chicago. Myself, I love Chicago for many reasons. It's my quick weekend getaway, great place to take a date and seems hassle free. I will catch a cubs game, go to the beach, do some shopping (usually not by choice), get a nice dinner and hit up some english/irish pubs.
My wife and children.
The novels of P.G. Wodehouse.
Sailing. Particularly sunrise on a sailboat when the only sound is the ripple of the jib and the soft slice of water as you've made a passage and are reaching your destination.
Entertaining friends.
Good wine.
Sunny days.
Spring, Summer, and Fall.
Thanksgiving, as opposed to Christmas.
Jazz. The real stuff, not mood music for yuppies.
Drumming.
Travel. Anywhere will do.
Striking up conversations with complete strangers.
The Book of Common Prayer.
Vanity Fair. The novel, not the magazine.
My friends and family.

The seashore.
Lobster and steak.
French and Australian accents.

Oddball people who don't quite fit in.
That electric hush that descends over an audience before a play is about to begin.
The laughter of children.
Thunderstorms.
The smell of new tennis shoes and gasoline.

Auburn football.
Fireflies. If you've never seen one, you just don't know what you're missing.
Green Acres. The great sitcom that was way, way, way before its time.
A really good parade.
Parties.
Arrested Development.
YouTube. Much more entertaining than television.
Thai food.
