I'm glad it's on a weekend this year. When it's on a weekday, and I'm at the office, it's hard for me to see all the other girls get flowers delivered from their husbands. I'm the only single gal in the office, and it's been a long time since I had a flower delivery from a man. My desk seems blatantly empty by the end of the day. On a weekend, it'll come and go without notice. Works for me!
It's President's Day weekend so I'm taking advantage of the extra day and heading to L.A. to visit one of my best friends. We're hoping that her husband will watch their kids so my friend and I can enjoy a girls' weekend.
Oh, and NO, I will not be interfering with some romantic married couple's Valentine's day. I could start a dozen threads on what a jerk her husband is, but she's sticking with him, most likely until the kids are grown.
I have my reasons. Even though I'm not getting any, the bright side is that I don't have to worry about spending my money on whoever. That's one less problem in my life.
I'd rather have somebody to buy something for and get some. This will be the 20th yr in a row I have been single on Valentines Day (though as a child that doesnt really count but still)
Never in my life ONCE have I gotten a Valentine, Im like Charlie Brown except I have the hots for the cute puerto rican girl rather then the redhead. Never was attracted to girls of my own race (white). Always loved Latinas. God knows why?
My sister as usual will painfully remind me that I am single and that everybody will have a date on Valentines Day except for me, and my mom and dad (they hate each other)
This is why Im going back to work on Friday and Saturday nights. Im sick and tired of spending them at home on City-Data in one tab, and some porn in another
