I'm a toyota loyalist. I really like the VW, but I wonder if making the transition would make the trade-in more expensive coz we're talking different car makers and I'm a car dunce.

You'd be better off selling your old car yourself. You'll get pennies for it on trade in probably.

I've been following the news, yeah. But Toyota's too good to write off on just a few mishappenings we have seen so far.
Their engines are like war horses. They run for ever. And I bet they will be making better cars now and will be testing it even more strenuously.
