Default I saw the sweetest thing today

Old couple sitting on a bench at a park I was walking through. They weren't talking, they just sat there taking in the crisp air it seemed, she had her head on his shoulder and he had his arm around her. They looked so peaceful and content. Made me wonder what their story is.

It really put a smile on my face. Awesome.

I, too, have always enjoyed watching older couples interact. Most of all, I enjoy just sitting down bull****ting with an old man.

I hope I'm that happy when I'm that age. Seems rare anymore...

I often do the same with my wife, we have been married over 20 years and most of the time we just do not have anything left to talk about (just joking she always has something to say) I do like to just spend time with her though and many times we have been asked by friends how we stay so happy and I say it is easy when you have actually found the one you are meant to be with.

My Grandad used to pat my Nan on the hand if they were sitting side by side. Whenever I see anyone do it always makes my heart swell a little.

Just two little gentle taps but it seems to convey so much.

I was lying on the beach once and saw this elderly couple standing on a sand bar out in the ocean, arms around each other, her head tilted against his arm, just enjoying the ocean vista and I smiled. I felt like I just saw a glimpse of real love.

I see my son holding his 6 month old son, and the look of love on my son's face; brings tears to my eyes.
