Okay, we've got people searching here on CDF, so let's help them out some ! If you are single and looking for that perfect someone , what are the TOP 5 things that you are looking for?

Note: please be serious guys and gals and definitely keep your answers clean - Thanks!!!

1) Same religious beliefs and I want to see action behind their words
2) Great sense of HUMOR (but I want to be able to understand it - LOL )
3) Happily employed (or better yet happily retired with income )
4) Wise financially
5) Common interests

Notice that I didn't say what type of job he has to have or loads of $$$ money or 'hot body' or great looking or drives a Beemer . Not all women want a SUGAR DADDY (LOL)! Some of us are more interested in a man's character and integrity . But of course, that's JMHO as always.

I'm not really looking, but IF the right fella came along....

Default Well let's see...

A lady that does not have a drinking or drug problem.
A lady that likes the outdoors, winter and summer.
A lady that can live in the country.
A lady that acts like a lady, at least some of the time.
A lady that is still here, when I come home from 2 weeks at work.
A lady that has some sort of clue when it comes to paying bills or spending.
A lady that would consider having children.

Am I asking alot?

Default My future mate?

My future partner has to have the following:

A job -what kind doesnt matter as long as you have one
great sense of humor
no drinking or drug problem (past or present)
the ability to carry on a conversation with some intelligence
Honest and trustworthy

There's always more, yet I don't want to give it all away

Alright, I'll play the game... I'd love to find a man with the following traits:

1. Well-educated & intelligent
2. Gainfully employed (doesn't have to be making bucks, but enough to help with the ridiculous cost-of-living here )
3. Similar views on life/politics/etc, but not exactly the SAME - otherwise we'd have nothing to discuss, lol.
4. Desire to have a child, or two or three...
5. Ability to tolerate my idiosyncrasies, and a kind heart & soul. (okay, I cheated by throwing in 2 points there, LOL)

What the hey... (in no particular order)

- Does not want kids
- Can carry an interesting conversation
- Gets my sense of humor
- Doesn't take herself too seriously
- Is spiritual (at least somewhat), but isn't religious

Just briefly-

1. Intelligent (reads a book now and then and can discuss it)
2. Sense of humor and doesnt discuss price of groceries every week like we are living in a depression (even if we are-lol)
3. Pro-active: meaning we go on vacation- he gets enthused about things to do-(doesnt wait for me to plan activities)
4. Puts me first, not his mother.

Default hmmmm

He is: athletic, intelligent, kind & caring, has a great job that he loves. Would love my children as his own. In general, a good partner, someone to share all life has to offer.

Hey HDL -

How fun! I'm going to state my desires in the present, as I know they're on the way to me, getting closer & closer each & everyday.

I have a fun, secure, committed relationship with a sincere, supportive, healthy, happy, honest, stable gentleman. Is that five? Six? Seven?

Sorry, HDL. Been spending all my time counting bees lately with Ellie & KimoJimo!

Have fun my favorite Dawg Lady... VV

HDL, I just wanted to relay a now funny story. When I was in Altanta in my 20's, I had a creepy next door neighbor who ran out of his house every time he saw me. He was making more frequent attempts to speak to me, knocking on my door all hours of the evening & thus, making me awfully uncomfortable. Women who lived in my apt before me, never stayed longer than 6-mos. I soon learned why & also learned to walk as if on cotton balls passed his doorway to avoid contact with him.

One evening, when I was unusually very late at work, he crawled into the crawlspace through the outside storage closet, above our adjoining apt ceilings, fell asleep over my bedroom due to "chemical imbibing" (50-ft from where he entered the ceiling), fell through my ceiling onto my bed, hit his head on the dresser & knocked himself out. I came home at the same time as my roommate, thank goodness, probably 10-15 minutes later & we called the police as he awoke & tried to crawl back into the ceiling.

All I could think to say at the time to the police officer, as they were bringing my completely stunned, firmly handcuffed, covered-in-ceiling-dust neighbor out of the apt was, "There've been many evenings when I prayed a man would come falling through the ceiling. Officer, he looked nothing like that one, AT ALL!"

I'm now much more careful for what I ask. In this case, I got exactly what I asked for, but it wasn't anything close to what I truly wanted! A great lesson for me in learning to be v e r y specific! LOL

Fun post. Thanks! ... VV
