Do you folks prefer the lights on or off while being intimate with someone? It took me a long time before I finally realized why women wanted to be in the dark. A lot apparently feel you will be turned off if you see them naked and sadly this has been true as Ive been dating more women in their 30's.
Personally I need the lights on to enjoy the show

I prefer the mirror-ball spinning, the lasers going full-blast and the fog machine totally filled up.

...but that's just me...

I think many women worry about how they look. Men are usually more visual than women - men want to see. The best mix is dim or indirect lighting. If in the bedroom, the hall light might be left on with the door ajar.
For the ture romantics, I suggest flicker light bulbs. Flicker light bulbs can be purchased in the home improvement stores an will work in most common lamps. Use several. The bulbs "flicker" giving the impression of a candle. Better than candles, you both can fall asleep without worrying about burning candles.
