I have been copied throughout my life. In so many different areas, including some very personal signature subjects in my paintings.
It recently happened again by a close friend and repeat offender, and boy am I ticked!

If so, please answer the following:

How?
What?
When?
Where?
How'd you feel?
How did you handle it?
No. Getting angry is never worth it.

Years ago I used to have a friend who would buy everything I liked before I had a chance to buy it myself. We'd be browsing around and I'd point at a leather jacket I liked and if I said I was going to buy it soon, he'd run back there the next day and buy it for himself. He did this on several occasions, so finally I started pointing at stuff that was hideous, things I'd never wear or have any interest in, and before you know it he was buying this crap and walking around with it looking like an idiot.

I had nothing to do with picking out my engagement ring...my husband did all that. His parents were married for years and years and my MIL never had a diamond. After my husband proposed to me she went out and had the exact same diamond ring as my husband gave me made for herself and bigger. To this day I do not know why she did that. It is something I let go of that is how I handled it.

Usually someone imitating me would not bother me but when we lived in our former home I spent a year and a half on a landscape plan with my landscape architect and it was lovely...bridges, recirculated creek, huge rocks on the banks of the creek, paths, lighting....lo and behold, the next week my next door neighbor had bulldozers in the yard and my yard was replicated! I was livid!

I was so angry I wouldn't speak to the neighbor but then again they acted quite sheepish when they saw me!

I agree! I've had friends copy hair styles, makeup, clothes, shoes. It doesn't bother me. It just means they like my style!
