I think it is a stupid question. Some women like that look. Whether they are gay or straight. It is that simple to understand.

Thanks for the nasty rep you left, Artsy. I'm straight, btw. Your passes at me are falling on deaf ears.

I wouldn't go so far as to call it a good question, but I think he is curious.

I've actually never wondered it myself. I figure people are just who they are - and like artsy said, there are many straight people of whom you might as the same question. I can see how aiming it at a particularly community might be offensive to someone who deals with it on a daily basis.

It would be interesting to hear someone who is in such a relationship answer. I've often wondered myself. Most gay couples I know have that dynamic. I've always wanted to ask if the more mascaline partner identified with men. I'm curious as to how people turn out the way they do.

As to gay rights, I don't see where they are missing any. Yes, they can't marry but it's easy enough to draw up a legal contract that gives each party the rights of a spouse. It's not like we need to worry about what last name to give the kids and holding parents responsible in event of a divorce.

I don't really see a use for marriage in this day and age. We have DNA tests for paternity and women are now capable of supporting themselves. I'm not sure why gays think they need the right to marry. I don't see what they gain. They already have more rights than a heterosexual couple living together. If my husband and I were not married, he could not cover me on his insurance but the gay couple across the street can. They avoid the marriage penalty tax because they aren't married yet still get to use each other's insurance benefits. Looks to me like they have more than i do not less. We could save a bundle in taxes if we could just live together, file separate taxes and still use each other's benefits.

I believe OP is looking for an answer to his question and not more questions.

The emotional responses are not necessary.

And I presume you are a delicate flower of a woman with no masculine qualities?
