I think you should embrace solipsism. Nothing is truly knowable, real communication cannot occur, and nothing can be proven to exist outside one's own mind.

What's rare? I work for an interanational pharma and ~50% of all scientists I work with are women. It's not rare at all. You stocking shelves is not rare, either. Men that attempt to garner self-worth for smarts they either don't have or employ via the work of others is, again, not rare.

As far as stocking shelves goes, it's honest to goodness work. My tax job isn't work at all. It's too simple. Physical work is the only kind that has any value, because it is the only kind capable of causing muscle fatigue.

If I found a cure for cancer, I would not share it with anyone.

Selfishness is a primitive emotion. Every animal on Earth acts selfishly, sans humans, and recently discovered; chimps. So tell me, why "not sharing a cure for cancer" would be so logical?
