It's when a girl has a tattoo on the small of her back and wears a mini skirt or low cut jeans with a top that exposes the tattoo... when I, ahem... ADMIRE... her artwork on her back, she starts complaining about how I'm like all the men who undress with their eyes.

I say, "you're damn right, I'm undressing you with my eyes. I'm a highly sexual red blooded male and you have an attention getting tattoo on your back."
Lord have mercy! I hope you survive your upcoming adventure on match.com. If you're a hottie, you'll probably get lots of replies and have a lot of "hmmmmm" moments.

On the singles sites they also say things like hair color preference, body type, height etc...so maybe some guys just say no tattoos but in reality it's just a preference. EX. if they say they prefer a blond are they going to not date a brunette? I have a large tattoo and have dated people that didn't know it at first but it was never an issue because once a person gets to know you either they like you or not. If they don't date you because of something like a tattoo then why would you want to date them anyway?

I've had my tattoo for 27 years, had a cover up once and have never said "how can I be so stupid". In fact have thought about getting another one. It's has nothing to do with maturity, it has to do with personal taste.

To me it just depends on the Tatto and where it's at, a couple of small tastefull tatto's are fine with me. It's really up to the person who has the tats, if their okay with it then thats what counts. I've seen some cool tatto's and if I were younger I might have one.

Agreed. I have a tattoo on my shoulder, and never regretted it one bit... because it's something that represents a component of who I am that will never change.

Tattoos are not for everyone. As I said, I never thought I'd have one, much less more than one. Yet, if someone doesn't like me because I have a tattoo on my body.....then they haven't taken the time to find out who or what I am about. And that, is their loss. Personally, I dislike body piercings more than tattoos and you can remove those, yet, I wouldn't judge a person because they have them.

Oooh...this just irks me! OK, I am a female & while I don't like feeling like a side of beef (because some guys are really bad about that...) I don't go hanging my goodies out for the world to see & then complain when someone notices. That's just stupid. If you don't want guys to look, don't hang it out of your clothes.

& just to stay on topic, I agree that moderation is good with tats. Sometimes I think it just gets to be a bit much on some people, but on the whole I'm a tat fan. Piercings are cool, depending on the person & what kind they have. I don't really care for the stretched ears either, tho.

I guess if I wanted to get one it would be ok with my husband, but I'm not one to go around with my mid section showing or hip hugger jeans either. And lets be honest, don't most men want a "lady" in public and a "tramp" in the bedroom?

For someone that doesn't go around bare midriff, the only time you'd see it is if she were bending over and the shirt rode up, wearing a bikini, or in the bedroom. I don't see it as a problem. If a person doesn't want people looking, she shouldn't show it off, kind of like cleavage. Some people show WAY too much of that IMO.

I think it's very personal. I have a total of 3 tats. All with VERY significant meaning. (you'll never see me with a butterfly or fairy or ladybug). None of them are in "plain view". They are for ME. One on my breast that can be displayed if I like (i.e. baring cleavage). One on my back/shoulder blade. One on my hip/thigh area.

Head-to-toe is not my thing but I'm sure for some it's fine...if a guy doesn't like that I have tats...oh well, he's just one guy.
